Hi guys! I had the most wonderful, jam-packed 4th of July weekend! The holiday kicked off with an overnight trip to see my SIL and family. They live on Lake Murray near Colombia and we got to go out on their boat for part of the day, which was so lovely.
I wasn't sure how the boys would handle it, but they LOVED it.
They really enjoyed the water and views... and all the boat snacks!
It had been over a year since we'd seen my two nephews Owen and Keegan and it was such a joy to reconnect.
Keegan is just two week's older than the twins and they all loved hanging out together.
Everyone had a great time but Hunter was truly in his element helping drive the boat and bravely jumping off the dock like a big kid.
I took so many photos of the kids all together and this sadly was the best one. No one would look at the camera and smile. I swear they had fun though. 🙂
On Sunday we came back to Asheville for our street's 4th of July party!
We started a tradition where we do a kid parade and everyone decorates their bike, stroller, wagon, etc. I love a good theme so I had a lot of fun decorating the wagon.
Aren't they adorable? We all took a loop around the neighborhood before kicking off dinner and fireworks. We are truly blessed with the most wonderful neighbors ever.
The twins soaked up the attention and some more fun treats like their first 4th of July popsicles.
After missing so many traditional holidays, it was such a joy to be able to see and celebrate our friends and family!
AND! Look who finally got a pretty darn cute holiday photo.
I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July too. I'm so excited because tomorrow the Hubs and I have a short two-night kid-free trip to Lake Oconee in Georgia planned. Fingers crossed nothing happens between now and then and we get to go!
