Hi everyone! We had an epic 4th of July weekend in Pittsburgh this year. It was filled with lots of family time and fun events, including a baseball game and the twins first fireworks.
The 4th of July kicked off with lots of swimming at the Hubs sister's house. She has a great pool and the boys spent hours jumping in.
And yes! We are officially swimmers without any floaties now! They can jump in and swim to the side from the deep end.
She also hosted the loveliest party for the family in town including lots of great food.
After dinner, we went to see the fireworks! It was the very first time the boys had stayed up for them.
I was nervous they would get crabby staying up late or the noise would be too much for them, but they both did so well.
It helped that all of their cousins were there to help them and play with them too!
I brought their headsets to help with the noise and it did help both of them at different times.
Here's Hunter...
And here's Jackson! It was a magical night.
The other huge weekend highlight was going to the Pittsburgh Pirates game.
The entire family came and we all had so much fun! The bigger kids love baseball, so this was special for them too.
And here are the younger ones.
We even met their mascot!
The game was also a late night for my boys; they did so well and had so much fun. It just so happened to be one of the best Pirates games ever, with there being so many home runs that the team ran out of fireworks.
It was such a great experience for the entire extended family and I'm so glad we got to be a part of it!
We're back home and I don't know how July 4th has come and gone! I need summer to just slow down. I hope you guys had a great 4th of July too!
