Hi everyone!
No need to panic, but there are only 10 days left until Christmas! I feel like I've been doing a good job keeping my holiday stress levels in check this year and have been enjoying the season. I did the last of the mall shopping yesterday and am ordering the last of the online gifts today. #winningatlife
I also just found out my oldest, dearest friend Sarah is visiting me this weekend! She's the one I visited in Brazil and DC over the past few years. Last minute surprise guests are the best BUT it does mean I often scramble to put something nice together for them during their visit. I want my guest to feel like they have a little vacation when they visit.
Now I know I can't be the only one who has someone stop by at the last minute this time of year OR get a last minute party invite you can't turn down? So what can you make for these last minute get togethers? How about my 5 Minute Holiday Cheese Platter!
Isn't it so fun and festive? This platter looks pretty and put together but only takes a few minutes to assemble.
And what if I told you I got all the stuff to make my holiday cheese platter (including the pretty new platter) without getting out of the car?
I KNOW! With the cold and rain and snow... that's my kind of shopping.
Walmart now has FREE online grocery pickup. They actually bring your groceries out to YOUR CAR. Total game changer, friends!
If you are local to the Asheville area, this service just started for the Airport Road, Bleachery Blvd and Weaverville Walmart locations. If you aren't in WNC, start by logging in to see if the service is available yet in your area.
This is what you want to see!
The entire process could not be easier. If you don't have a Walmart account, you can create one in minutes.
Next you select your groceries. They have everything from pantry staples to fresh, organic produce. You can even pick things like table settings and holiday decor! The prices are the same as the in store Every Day Low Prices.
Your total is easily tallied on the side, so it's never been easier to keep your groceries in your budget. There is a $30 minimum purchase for Online Grocery Pickup.
Next you select a pick-up time and put in your credit card to pay. You can do all of these steps on your regular computer or through the Walmart Grocery App. The entire process is easy, user-friendly and fast.
When you leave your house, you "check-in" and a mobile tracker will see exactly when you pull up to the pick up area.
You can't miss it with easy to follow signs and reserved spots.
Within minutes a friendly face puts your groceries in your car! I got out of the car to take this photo, but next time I will not even have to get wet and cold.
All of my groceries were guaranteed to be fresh or my money back.
I even picked out this adorable platter for my Holiday Cheese Platter. I adore their Pioneer Woman stuff. Talk about life goals!
To top it off they sent me home with a cute welcome bag which had all sorts of goodies in it, including a great bottle of lotion.
Once I got home I assembled this platter in less than 5 minutes for my last minute guests. The apples, berries and herbs were fresh and the cheese was perfect.
Adding the piles of herbs on the platter really ups this holiday cheese platter to make it festive. I love the fragrant rosemary for this time of year.
Feel free to sub your favorite fruits, crackers and cheeses to customize the holiday cheese platter, but I think this combination is a real crowd pleaser.
Assembling this 5 Minute Holiday Cheese Platter could not have been easier with the help of Walmart Grocery Pickup. I'm now ready for my weekend guests and I feel like I got an hour of my life back not having to do the shopping myself! So awesome! #lifechanger

I agree--the herbs add the festive flair to this platter! I have a Neighborhood Mingle at our house next week so I may just do this idea. I love how many stores are doing grocery services like this --makes it so easy for folks with disabilities or even limited time to get what they need without a hassle. I know Target does this as well in some places and in Iowa the HyVee stores were really doing a great business this way. Thanks for the yummy looking post----it gave me some ideas!
