Hi everyone! I'm a little behind in sharing these, but we had the best Memorial Day weekend visiting the Hub's sister and her family on Lake Murray.
Like nearly everyone, we were super disappointed that the weather was so cold and rainy and had to adjust our plans of spending the day on the lake. We decided to go to the Children's Museum in Columbia, which was fun.
The highlights for my crew were driving a fire truck.
They also loved gem mining!
And the NASA and flying exhibit was also a hit. It's a super cute place to visit and you'll recognize it from Blippi if you go! I'll do more specifics about going in a post at a later date, but if you need a rainy day trip, this is a great one.
Memorial Day itself the weather finally cleared up enough for us to enjoy part of the day on the lake!
The boys love the lake and the boat and were in their element. They were having so much fun "driving" the boat.
And they even got to try fishing for the first time.
And even though the water was way too cold for adults to get in, the boys had fun jumping a few times. It was cold for them too though! It's very unusual for the lake to still be this cold on Memorial Day.
And here's the crew! It's always so fun to visit them at the lake and we had the absolute best time. All of the kids really enjoy playing with each other, which is so heartwarming.
That's all for this week. We spent most of the week in Atlanta, exploring the city and I'll have photos from that trip coming up next week. Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
