Hi everyone! It's been a lovely couple of weeks at home with lots of catching up around the house from a hectic summer schedule. The boys have settled back into their preschool schedule and we are all enjoying the routine.
I keep trying to wrap my head around it being fall, but the weather has been so lovely (still close to 80!) that it's been hard to switch my mind over. As a summer lover, I'm not complaining at all!
The boys and I took a quick trip to the Biltmore this week to see the second round of sunflowers. They were as pretty as ever, with glorious summer weather.
The Hubs and I also had a date afternoon and got a drink at Hemingway's Cuba rooftop bar. My drink matched my dress!
I thought about pulling out fall clothes, but it was way to warm and sunny, so I went with a tropical dress. At least I'm predictable, right? 🙂
I have been busy pulling out the garden for th year and planting my mums! I love this space so much. They aren't blooming yet but should look pretty fabulous soon.
Here are my little helpers.
We also pulled out our Halloween decor! Check out this one. The boys love it and are pretty stoked for Halloween this year. I feel like we are in a sweet spot of really enjoying the holidays, so this holiday season should be pretty special.
And finally, we got to celebrate one of the boy's friends' birthdays. Theo turned 4 and had a fabulous train birthday at the Craggy Mountain Railroad.
We got to go on a train ride to a nearby park and the boys all thought it was pretty cool! Happy birthday to their sweet friend Theo.
That's it for this week! Cooler weather is coming back this weekend, so we'll be looking for more fall-ish things to do.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and as always, thanks for following along our journey!
