Another magical Christmas has come and gone. I can't believe it was the boy's 6th Christmas and I'm holding tight to these years of Christmas magic for them. You can catch up on their first Christmas, second Christmas, third Christmas, fourth Christmas, and fifth Christmas here!
I feel like we have some solid family Christmas traditions now and the boys remembered them this year and looked forward and asked about them. We did the Polar Express, Winter Lights, and added seeing the Grove Park Gingerbread houses to our holiday routine this year.
On Christmas Eve Eve had gorgeous weather and we played outside a lot and also made gingerbread houses.
The boys love a good craft, especially one that involves sneaking candy. 🙂
On Christmas Eve we kicked things off with Santa pancakes.
We then got to go outside and see our annual visit from our local fire department and Santa Claus. It's so sweet that they do this and we now look forward to it each year.
We then came inside and made our cookies for Santa.
And finally, the boys got their Christmas jammies ready and plates ready for Santa.
We sprinkled reindeer food outside the house and got ready for a visit from Santa.
They were so excited.
The magic at this age is truly amazing to watch.
We all had Christmas Eve dinner together and put the boys to bed.
They woke up on Christmas morning so excited! Here's the stocking filled.
We opened presents and had a great morning. One of their favorite gifts was more dress-up costumes and a closet to store them in. Poor Makena got "arrested" all day long.
The astronaut one cracked me up! Christmas Day was so fun.
The day after Christmas we had a special visit from Grandpa Nick and spent some quality time with him. He took the kids to his favorite local BBQ restaurant.
And we also had a nice family dinner out. I'm so glad we got to see him at Christmas!
Christmas 2023 was so fun! I'm so grateful to have these adorable kiddos who bring the magic to holidays like this and that we can give them so many magical experiences.
I know these years are fleeting and I'm soaking it all up. It's not lost on me that we are in the middle of the best years for holidays like these. They lived up to the hype.
I hope you all had a lovely holiday too! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year friends.
