I can't believe the twin's fifth Christmas has come and gone! This one has been the most magical, but catch up on their first Christmas, second Christmas, third Christmas, and fourth Christmas here!
We got sick again and were all sniffly with fevers, but we tried to make the most of the weekend. I was grateful we had already planned to stay home, so we didn't have to cancel a trip. With the crazy arctic blast, we all just hunkered down for the weekend and spent the holiday inside. I'm so grateful that we never lost power with the sick family. I know we were very lucky.
In the days leading up the Christmas, we did lots of fun Christmas crafts including making gingerbread houses and paper Christmas trees.
On Christmas Eve we made cookies for Santa and watched some Christmas movies.
The boys helped get their plates ready for Santa this year.
They were even more excited than last year and definitely remembered the entire process this time.
And here they are right before bedtime. I was so excited to get a photo with two real smiles.
Luckily they made it on the nice list!
They went to bed with so much magic!
Christmas morning they woke up so excited about their stockings and toys! They were so lucky to have so many gifts from family. Our families are so generous with them!
Their big gift was a "bike with two wheels" which Santa brought them! Since it was so bitterly cold, we rode them around the closed garage some.
They actually figured it out right away! We're hoping to take them for a spin outside when it warms up this week.
For food, we did Santa Pancakes.
Plus a big cheese plate for lunch.
For dinner, we did our own traditional seafood feast with oysters and lobsters. It was amazing!
And here's the crew on Christmas Day! It was a wonderful holiday and completely magical with the kids. They are at such a great age for this and I just tried to soak it in because I know there are just a few short years where Christmas is like this.
I'm so grateful we got to spend time together and have a nice holiday weekend! I know how lucky we are to have been able to have a warm home the entire time, with the crazy weather happening.
I hope you had a magical holiday too.
