Hi guys!
I've heard people say with babies the days go by slow but the weeks and months go by fast. I totally feel that way as the twins hit 4 weeks old this week and are officially one month old today. They have already changed SO much and while I'm looking forward to a phase with more sleep, I am sad to see this time pass by. I tried so hard to get a good 4 week picture yesterday. This was the best shot I got before I gave up.
Totally keeping it real here though, most of the photos looked something like this. I might try again today - lol! Photographing two babies is much harder than food!
Life has changed so much since my last Currently... post in November so I thought it was time for a little update on life behind the scenes.
Currently I’m…
Reading…
Time to read? That's funny! 🙂
I haven't been reading anything other than referring to baby books for questions I have about the babes. Hopefully, I'll be able to get back to books soon, but for now, I'm just too tired!
Listening…
I've been listening to Christmas music on Amazon Prime. They have a couple free playlists that our Alexa will play without much fuss. We haven't done a lot to get in the Christmas spirit, so the music has helped!
I did put up some of my Christmas decorations including my tree in the living room and basement. I skipped everything outside, my 12-foot tree in my entryway and most of the other house decor though. I was going to not put up anything this year, but I'm glad I found time to do a little. The house feels so much more festive.
Watching…
The Hubs and I have found about an hour in the evening in between our dinner, baby feedings and naps to watch a show together. We started watching Narcos Mexico and it is really interesting. It's a little gruesome, but if you can get past that it's a fascinating story.
Wearing…
I can wear my Lilly again! Since I was really sick with nausea in the weeks after the twins were born I dropped a lot of weight pretty quickly. Luckily that means a lot of my old clothes are fitting. It's nice to wear them but that is not how you want to lose weight!
Eating…
My Dad watched the babies between feedings for the Hubs and I and we snuck out for a super quick meal at our favorite local seafood restaurant. We ordered SO many oysters in an hour! It was pretty awesome to be able to enjoy them again after being preggo! I was so excited I forgot to take a photo, but they looked like this. 🙂
Drinking…
WINE! Since I was feeling so nauseous after having the babies it took me several weeks before I was ready to drink anything but this past week I finally had my first glass of wine. It was everything I dreamed of. 🙂
Indulging…
Baby snuggles.
Anticipating…
Our first Christmas with the babies!
Praying…
I wanted to use this slot to thank everyone who prayed for myself and the babies during the end of pregnancy and birth. I'm so grateful everyone is healthy and know your prayers helped! I appreciate your support more than you know!
I hope you guys have a great weekend. I'll see you back here Monday. I finally had some time to write the twins birth story and will be sharing it next week.

Hunter and Jackson are beyond precious! So hard to believe they're already a month old! I love all their pics, but especially the one including Makena! What a sweet "babysitter!"
You are so very blessed!

Those little boys are adorable. Loved seeing your photos and knowing more how it goes as a new mom. Cute of Makena too. Mich has changed in her home! So happy for you and sounds like you are doing just great. I look forward to seeing more, watching them grow.

I'm loving all of these baby pictures!! The little monkeys with "My first Christmas" on it are so cute.
I'm so glad you got to enjoy a quick night out with the Hubs and some wine. You earned those oysters and wine!!
Being sick is definitely not how you want to lose weight. Whenever that happens to me, I tell myself that my body knows what it's doing and my weight/appetite will return to normal when my body stops fighting whatever it is.

They are just adorable. I can't get enough of the posts about them! I am so so glad you are feeling better. Not the best way to lose it like you said (because it meant you were so sick!) but I'm glad you are enjoying your clothes again. I remember pulling out the clothes and putting away maternity- just a relief, lol. I'm just happy you are all doing well and you're feeling better!

Looks like you are settling in nicely! How is Makena handling it? She looks like she's guarding the boys.

What a wonderful update. The boys are adorable and that picture of you holding them is sure fabulous. Love seeing them and yes--they grow. Oh and I loved Narcos. 🙂
