Currently... (December 2023)

Hi everyone! We're in full-on holiday mode here.  The boys have a Christmas program today at preschool and the elf is making daily appearances.  The trees are up and we are counting down the days until Christmas via an adorable Lego advent calender.  It's such a fun time of year to have small kids.

Last week we snuck away to Hilton Head for the weekend to celebrate our 12th anniversary.  We took the whole family out to dinner at the lighthouse restaurant.

I love all the cute holiday decor they have this time of year especially this tree down at South Beach.  If you are wondering what there is to in Hilton Head in the off-season, check out this post.  I plan on updating it with some new content I just got in the coming weeks.

Currently...

Reading...

I felt like my reading list had been heavy lately and was looking for something lighter.  I decided on Winter in Paradise by Elin Hilderbrand and got sucked up into the story so much I'm now into the third novel in the series.  If you are looking for a little tropical getaway, start with Winter in Paradise, What Happens in Paradise, and Troubles in Paradise.  It's a fun, light, and addictive series I enjoyed set the the backdrop of St. John.

Next in my cue is The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews, which looks like another quick and light read for the holidays.

Listening...

I love this catchy Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton song.  Such a fun holiday song.

Watching...

I'm on a Hallmark movie binge that started with the amazing Biltmore Christmas.  I adore the house so much, and the movie was such a fun twist on the classic holiday movie.

I'm also watching the elf and his daily antics.

Buying...

I needed a new carry-on airline bag and settled on this one, which just happens to come in pink.  It also comes in a dozen other more neutral colors plus purple!  It's light and the maximum carry-on size allowed by the airlines.  I got the matching personal item bag too.  If a travel lover in your life needs a gift, this is a great one!

Wearing...

All the holiday outfits!  I wore this one to a recent holiday party we went to for the Hub's work.

Eating...

We did a family anniversary dinner and got this amazing dessert at the Quarterdeck.

Drinking & Indulging...

Isn't this the cutest holiday drink from the Salty Dog? They told these mugs and 2 came home with us.

Anticipating...

Santa's arrival!!!  We briefly saw Santa in Hilton Head and were so excited.
