Hello! Hello!
Happy first week of January. My weeks are honestly starting to blur together a bit and I can't believe we're already through the holiday season. I feel like the holidays almost didn't even happen this year. I also feel so lame because I only did a few gifts this year and didn't even get Christmas cards made. (Please don't take me off your list if you send them to us!) I'm trying to give myself grace over stuff like that and realize the boys will only be this little once. There is very little time to do much of anything other than take care of them.
Hunter and Jackson are starting to stretch their night feedings a bit longer in the last two weeks, which has been nice but I'm looking forward to the day when we get to sleeping a bit longer.
I did take their one-month photos. Sadly, this was around 6 weeks, but that was the best I could do!
Thanks to everyone who offered some tips on Hunter's acid reflux. The medicine we got helped some and I think we are just getting better at coping with it. The poor little babe has been walking around with me a lot in a carrier to help. I'm still open to any suggestions if you've had a baby with acid reflux.
Since it's a new shiny month I thought I'd jump right in with this month's Currently... post.
Currently I’m…
Reading…
There is still not the time to read but hopefully, once they start sleeping more I'll be able to carve out some time. Has anyone read any good book lately I can drop in my Amazon cart?
Listening…
Loving this one lately!
Watching…
The Hubs and I had time to watch TWO new movies over the holidays and they were some of the more entertaining ones I've watched in a while. The first one was A Simple Favor which is a pretty new release we bought on iTunes. One of the main characters was a blogger, which I found fun.
The second was a freebie on Netflix, Dumplin'. It had Jennifer Aniston and talked a lot about Dolly Parton, who I'm a huge fan of. If you are looking for a good cold day movie, I highly recommend them both!
Wearing…
My regular clothes fit again! This is me refusing to wear dark colors even in winter. 🙂
Eating…
I made several freezer meals for us before the babies came and one of them was my Crock Pot Vegetarian Taco Soup. It's one of the most popular recipes on my site and one I make at least once a month. I kept forgetting to get it out of the freezer to make in time, but I finally remembered this week and we really enjoyed it. I have a post coming up this month with vegetarian freezer meals, if you are interested.
Drinking…
The Hubs splurged on a bottle of our favorite kind of red wine to celebrate that I could drink again. He got a great deal on this Brunello from a local wine shop and we really loved it.
Indulging…
Baby snuggles!!! I have a hard time sitting down and doing nothing but these babies are worth the downtime.
Their little cheeks are both filling out so much!
Anticipating…
Running again! I've been trying to do some sort of daily walk and am starting to get my strength back. On rainy days I've been getting on the treadmill and anytime the weather is close to 50 I've been taking the boys outside. They love their stroller and don't fuss at all during walks, which is nice.
There is hardly any time to actually try to get back into running, but I've been trying to do some running intervals during my walks. My insides feel like they are going to fall out when I try, so I've been taking it really slow and offering myself grace. I'm looking forward to getting back in it though and can't wait to feel normal again which I know will come in time! Once I start getting a little more sleep, I'm going to get up early to run before they wake up but we're still in sleep survival mode around here.
Praying…
I find myself praying daily for Hunter and Jackson to be healthy and happy. I also pray for the Hubs and me to stay healthy and find joy and patience to handle these hard newborn days.
I hope you guys have a great weekend. I'll see you back here Monday.

Julie, I have always been a fan! Your boys are gorgeous and they are growing so fast. You look wonderful, like you’ve never, just recently, had a baby, let alone two,
I don’t know if yo7 are familiar with the Outlander series. There is currently a TV version of this historical/romance novel. I have been reading these books since the nineties! The TV show is kind of different from the books, but I’m just excited to watch it every week anyway.

Julie I've long since fallen in love with Hunter and Jackson! They are precious and most beautiful little boys! I know from experience that the first stage is both the hardest and the most precious at the same time. You and your hubs are so very blessed! Thank you for sharing these pictures and for allowing all of us into your world at this special time! Happy New Year to your beautiful family!

Julie, You look great! Good job with your hard work. Your little babies are so cute. I love the little outfits you put them in. Very happy for you and your husband. Sweet family.

Love the pictures of the little boys, just so sweet. Happy for you to be doing well, you look great. Enjoy, keep making pictures and thank you for sharing.

Rock in play helps reflux babies sleep because keeps them at 45 degree angle. Beyond that solid foods at 6 months were our grandson's gamechanger.

You are looking great after having twins. Is your boys identical twins?
Sally says
Congratulations, Julie, you look great!! So glad you have your priorities right!! It is good that you have energy to take them on stroller rides!!! Car rides are good too, for fussiness, if you need to sit down awhile after all the exertion from baby care! So glad you are eating well, it will keep your energy up, and the blues away!! And do take naps when they do, especially if you don't have a nanny!! You are such a joy! Keeping y'all in my prayers!
