Hi everyone! We are spending this week in Turks and Caicos and having a blast. We loved going there last year so much, that we decided to repeat the vacation this year.
Before I left though I put together this post to share with y'all today including a few highlights from our kid's New Year's Eve party ending promptly at 7 PM.
I can't believe it's 2024 and I am in awe at how quickly this year has flown by. I feel like I've blinked and my babies are turning more and more into little kids. I've been holding onto them extra tight lately.
Here's what else is happening in our little world.

Reading...
I had a moment over the Christmas break to poke my head into a real bookstore for a few minutes and grab a stack of new books! I was so excited. First up is One Day in December, which is about a woman who meets her love at first sight person but loses them in a crowd. They happen to be reintroduced years later and their love story of missed opportunities goes from there. It has great reviews and I've loved it so far.
Listening...
Loving that Taylor Swift is touching on her country roots in this one.
Watching...
I finally got around to watching the Barbie movie and I'm obsessed. I went back and looked up the speech at the end to read it again because it touched a nerve with me so much, as I'm sure it did with so many women. What an amazing, powerful movie that is so different than anything I've watched. I've been bored by a lot of tv and movies lately, and this one was a ray of light.
Buying...
I needed a zippered bag to bring on the trip to tote stuff on the plane with and settled on this one. It's super cute and big enough to carry all kinds of stuff and fit under the seat of a plane.
Wearing...
New running shoes! I've been wearing the same pair for way too long and just upgraded mine to the latest Mizuno Wave Riders. I've been a loyal fan of this running shoe for nearly my entire running career and this one feels and fits great. Hey runners, this a friendly reminder to make sure you change out your shoes after 300-500 miles. 🙂
Eating...
The Hubs made the most delicious New Year's Eve dinner.
Drinking & Indulging...
On our last date night before the holidays we stuck out to RosaBees and it so refreshing and tasty.
Just look at these dishes.
If you are craving a taste of the tropics this cold winter season, you have to visit them.
Anticipating...
I'm anticipating a calmer late winter and early spring at home. We have some time at home without a bunch scheduled coming up and it feels nice to go home to a more restful season.
Praying...
I'm praying for health on our big trip!
That's it for this week! I hope everyone has a fun a week ahead.
