Hi everyone from a bitterly cold Asheville. Like nearly all of the country, it's been quite a winter week here with so much cold weather. We've spent nearly all of it inside, trying to stay busy and keep the kids entertained. It has been nice to enjoy a slower pace, but spring can't come fast enough for me.
I've loved watching the snow to the South of us this week with some of our favorite spots along the Gulf Coast, and even Hilton Head getting snow. I never thought I'd see that much snow on the coast and just flurries here! It's been such a strange few months weather-wise.
We did get a smaller snow earlier this month that I hadn't shared the photos of yet.
It wasn't much, but the boys still had the best time sledding.
They are still hoping for a bigger snow this year, so we'll have to wait and see!
Here's what else has been going on in our corner of the world.

Reading...
My latest read is The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros. I enjoyed The Things We Leave Unfinished, so I wanted to try another one of her books. It's about a fallen soldier who asks his best friend in a letter to help care for his sister and her twins.
Listening...
This song has been resonating with my lately.
Watching...
I've been watching Younger on Netflix, which was just released. It's such a show and I love the themes of different generations handling life and starting over.
The Hubs and I have also been watching The Landman, which has been good! I highly recommend it for a show for both men and women.
Buying...
The boys have been loving these fun craft boxes they got as part of Christmas. The crafts are all designed and easy for them to do, great for all of those snow days!
I like to keep a stash of stuff like this around for unexpected days at home.
I also had a cute Valentine's Day gift to add to your card for the kids! These ADORABLE stuffed animals are so fluffy. They are also weighted and filled with beads that can be microwaved to stay warm. They are so cozy and perfect for winter! The boys have adored these since they got them for Christmas.
They come in all different animals too, but we are partial to the sloth.
Wearing...
ALL the winter gear. I had to size up in all the boy's winter stuff this season. We love this super super affordable, fleece-lined pom pom hat. It's so cute and comes in SO many colors for boys and girls. My boys tend to lose things like this so we stocked up on a few.
Eating...
I had the best lunch at First Watch this week. So grateful we have one still in town.
Also had the best company with some of my old blogging friends.
Drinking & Indulging...
Lots and lots of water! It's been so dry that I can't stay hydrated enough.
Anticipating...
Tax season is here! We have been on the go since last spring, so I'm craving some downtime without constantly packing. I'm hoping to work on some reorganizing in the house it just hasn't happened with being out of town so much last year.
Praying...
There is so much to pray for. Our community still has people living in tents and trailers without reliable heat after Helene. Many parts of the city are recovered but some folks aren't ok and still need a lot of help that hasn't come yet. There are so many people waiting on insurance money that can't seem to arrive. We could use some prayers.
Also praying for LA. What's happening there is obviously beyond comprehension.
Also, keep the Hubs family in your prayers as they lost an extended family member this week.
That's it for this week! I hope everyone has a fun and warm week ahead.
