Hi guys!
It's been quite a week at our house. The boys seem to be growing every day and are turning into such funny babies. I discovered they love songs like Old McDonald and Head and Shoulders, so we've been singing quite a bit. I think they are the only people in the world who think I have a good singing voice. 🙂
The babies have also been sleeping a lot better and I have a little more energy this week. I don't even want to write too much about it and jinx it, but if I'll keep you updated.
Jackson also had a better week. He's still a little crabby but seems to be breaking out of that stage he was in the last few weeks. Isn't he a handsome boy when he's not screaming? 🙂
I could go on forever about the babies, but let's dive into this month's Currently!
Currently I’m…
Reading…
I picked up The Alice Network at the suggestion from one of you guys and am looking forward to diving in. I've really been enjoying historical fiction lately and this book is based during WWI and in the late 40's.
Listening…
Like the rest of the world, I've watched this half a dozen times.
I also have been loving the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack. I didn't realize how much Queen music I enjoyed!
Watching…
The Hubs and I watched two new to us movies this month that we really loved, A Star is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody. I was so excited to watch A Star is Born and I enjoyed it, but I Bohemian Rhapsody was surprisingly my favorite. It was one of those movies I thought about all week. I highly recommend them both though if you love music movies.
The Hubs is currently working almost all of the time so I've been enjoying free reign of the remote on weeknights. I also found two really good short series on Amazon Prime to watch that were new to me. The first one is called Z: The Beginning of Everything. It's a period piece about Zelda Fitzgerald starring Christina Ricci. I also am watching Good Girls Revolt which is about the women's movement in newsrooms in the early 70's. I googled both shows just now to make sure I got the titles correct and am disappointed to see that neither of them will have a second season, BUT I really enjoyed the first. If you like historical shows and have been through all the usual suspects on Netflix, these were both worth a watch in my opinion.
Wearing…
I sadly only put on real clothes a few times a week these days. Most days look like this in running capris and old race shirts. I figure if I dress the part, I should be able to sneak in a workout at some point... right? 🙂
Eating…
I got to meet a good friend out for lunch this week and had vegetarian pho at Wild Ginger. It was such a treat because the Hubs doesn't like the restaurant so we don't go that often. It was super cold so cozy soup was perfect.
The Hubs and I have been getting takeout on Friday nights since going out for Friday night dinner is harder these days. I loved this salmon dish from The Local Joint. If you are local, where is your favorite place for takeout?
Drinking…
I found a new herbal tea that I love! This Peach Tranquility is super flavorful and a nice midday tea without the caffeine.
Indulging…
I ate ALL the chips and salsa when I went to Papa's and Beer and got shrimp tacos. I can have all sorts of sweets in the house and not bother them but restaurant chips and salsa is my vice. I don't feel bad about it at all though because it doesn't happen that often. It falls under the totally worth it category in my mind.
Anticipating…
It feels like we are on the cusp of spring and I can't wait. I'm looking forward to warmer longer days and tax season being over so we can finally do things as a family! I know we'll feel a lot more comfortable taking the babies out in public when it's warmer outside and flu season winds down.
Praying…
I'm praying for these babies all the decisions I make for them daily. It seems like every few days I have questions or have to make a decision I feel completly unequipped to handle. Babies really need a guide book because googling stuff just isn't cutting it. So I go with my gut and pray I'm doing the right thing.
I hope you guys have a great weekend. I'll see you back here on Monday.

Hi there Julie,
So let me start with in a twin boy mom too. My guys are 3 months old. And I kid you not all the posts pics of them I skimmed through we have the exact same outfits.
But I really just wanted to say keep on trusting your gut and praying. I’ve found that all the well meant advice I get only goes so far especially with twins... we twin mamas got this! And yes one day you will get a run in to. I also am a runner and am counting down to better weather so I can hit the pavement again.
Best wishes to ya!

Julie, you are doing a wonderful job with your babies. They are precious and are really growing! If I lived closer, I’d give you and your hubby a date night or two. I adore twins! I’ve been babysitting identical twin boys since they were 5 weeks old. They are 9 years old now! They are so precious and own a huge chunk of my heart!
I love reading about all of your adventures! ❤️

Kids don't care about your singing ability, they just love hearing and participating as they get older.
Julie, you really do learn as you go. Each child is different. What you decide for one might be different for the next one. Mom's just have to go a lot with their instinct. Prayers certainly help and you will be praying often. Those boys are certainly doing great.

Always love the blogs so interesting and just enjoy the happenings and growth of the Hunter and Jackson, I so think they favor their daddy, and you are so cute whatever you are wearing, can not always look like a model being a mommie.
I have enjoyed reading books by Sandra Dallas this winter season, the first I read was Midwife, so good about the life of a midwife, then I was hooked went to library and have checked out all I can find.
Thanks again for sharing the life of you and your family so all of us, who watched you over the years on wlos I do believe you could write a book on all your blogs,

Your babies are precious. Glad you are staying at home and enjoying them - even if it is a tough job. Keep up the good work!!

I hope you enjoy the Alice Network. I read it recently and loved it!
Chips and salsa is addicting. I saw a meme one time that went along the lines of "How does chips and salsa work? Do you just eat them all or does someone eventually forcibly take them away from you".
Bohemian Rhapsody was such a good movie. I had forgotten how many of their songs were actually theirs until I saw the movie. They had so many hits!

Those boys! So adorable! Our friends have been telling us about Papa's and Beer for ages so now it is officially on the list of places to go when they come back from Florida. That plate looks so good. We don't do much take out because it is 8 miles and 20 + minutes of winding roads from town to home but we do do pizza from the Clubhouse occasionally and that never disappoints. Rainy here today but the weather looks fabulous next week so I bet you and those boys will be able to enjoy some walks outside. Take care --you are doing a great job!

Being a new mother is a learning experiment..Just go with what you feel best about..Dont be influenced by outside remarks on how you are doing things. Just go with the way you and your husband want things done. You have a beautiful family..
