Hi everyone! We spent a long weekend last weekend at Bald Head Island and are getting back in the swing of regular life this week. I can't wait to share more photos from the trip with you next Friday. It's a really cool and special place that has no cars - only bikes and golf carts. You have to get to it by ferry and there is a lot of nature, gorgeous beaches and a handful of yummy places to eat. It's a totally unique spot that I can't wait to share with you.
Before we left though I put together this month's current post which has lots of highlights from our last few weeks of summer in Asheville. First up though I wanted to share with you our new favorite thing to do! A picnic by the river and a scooter ride.
It's not fancy, but we all love it!
And here they go!
We'll be doing this until it gets too cold! Here's what else has been going on behind the scenes in my world.

Reading...
As a salt, water, and beach-loving girl, it's no surprise that Jimmy Buffett has provided the anthem for many beautiful days of my life. I'm so sad about his passing and will read his book to learn more about his life. It's called a Jimmy Buffet, A Pirate Looks at Fifty and looks fabulous.
Listening...
In honor of his passing, I've also had his tunes on repeat. I'm also loving this new one that was released after his death. Such a wonderful message and such a gift to his fans.
Watching...
I was completely obsessed with UNTOLD: Swamp Kings. It's about the epic Florida football run in the mid-late 2000s when they won several National Titles under Urban Meyer. As a Florida grad and football fan, this was such a joy to relive these glory days. I'm hoping we can get back to something like that one day!
I also loved the new Little Mermaid which came out on Disney Plus. The original was one of my favorite childhood movies, so I also found myself completely taking in the new version. I adored the new songs and live-action. Such a cool movie!
And finally, I'm taking in the second season of And Just Like That, which also has a sense of nostalgia for me.
Has anyone else been watching anything good?
I've also been watching swim lessons! I signed the boys up for the next level of classes for the fall because they have been on a roll with it. We're calling it our "shark" classes.
Buying...
We added to our magnet tile collection with these fabulous PicassoTiles (not as expensive as the name-brand ones but still work great!) and the boys have been loving making bigger towers and such. They promote so much creativity for the boys and it's nice to have a bunch to share.
Buy these before we start getting stuck inside more with colder weather!
Wearing...
My poor winter house shoes were literally falling apart so I decided to upgrade before the seasons started to turn. I settled on the Minnetonka Slipper Moccasins and I LOVE them. They are studier than just a regular slipper but still very cozy. They come in lots of fun colors too.
So cozy and durable!
Eating...
We had the BEST meal at Umi in Hendersonville. It's so charminging there and the food never disappoints.
Drinking & Indulging...
Rose wine, cheese, repeat! This is one of my favorite drinks and small indulgences.
Anticipating...
Fall and early winter are another busy season for us with all of the holidays plus the twins' birthday and our anniversary. I'm looking forward to it all, especially Halloween and Christmas. The boys are already all about Christmas including reading the Polar Express and insisting on squeezing into last year's Christmas pajamas. I think we are in for the most fun holiday season yet. I can't even believe I'm talking about it yet, but that's where we are with the kiddos.
Praying...
Someone very close to me just had her first baby and I'm praying that they can find some peace in the newborn hustle.
I'm also praying that the boys can continue to do well and be good listeners at school and for plenty of patience for their wonderful teachers.
