Ingredients:
Here's an overview of what you'll need to make this Banana Waffles recipe, but keep scrolling for the full recipe amounts.
- All-Purpose Flour: I use basic all-purpose flour for this. You can substitute white wheat flour or whole wheat flour if you'd like.
- Baking Goods: You'll need baking powder and salt to get the right baking mixture.
- Milk: I like to use 2% milk for my baking, but you can use what you have in the fridge. To make these dairy-free, you can substitute dairy-free milk like almond milk.
- Egg: To prepare the large eggs, crack them in a bowl and lightly beat them.
- Butter: I love the butter flavor in waffles, so I use it here but you can use your favorite oil including coconut oil. The butter will need to be melted to mix into the batter.
- Banana: The banana flavor comes from the mashed bananas in the mixture. Look for bananas that are ripe and have spots for ultimate natural sweetness. You'll need an extra banana for slicing on top.
- Cinnamon and Vanilla Extract: These add so much flavor! You can also add a touch of nutmeg if you'd like!
