Happy Fashion Friday and Happy Cinco de Mayo!
For those of you celebrating this weekend... don't forget to check out my roundup of my favorite healthy and vegetarian Mexican Dishes. Mexican food is by far my favorite, so I consider these recipes the best of the best on Running in a Skirt.
After a morning run and some work, I'm back on a plane again today heading to New York. The Hubs has a business meeting there Monday and Tuesday so we are making a weekend of it. My girlfriends Sarah and Rebecca are even meeting us there... so it should be a lot of fun.
We have tickets to see The Great Comet (It got all sorts of Tony nominations the other day!) Saturday night, but other than I don't have a lot of firm plans. A few of you have very kindly given me some fabulous guidance on what to do (THANK YOU!) but if anyone has any additional suggestions, I'm all ears.
In case you've been busy this week, here's what's been happening on Running in a Skirt...
- I'm back!
- Double Dark Chocolate Chip Nice Cream
- NOW Foods Immersion with an Epic NOW Swag Bag Giveaway
- Avocado Dressing
Next week, I'll be sharing more on my Abacos trip so I hope you'll come back. Also, don't forget there are two giveaways on the site now! The Epic NOW Foods Swag Bag and a the Qalo Ring Prize Pack giveaways.
Moving onto official Fashion Friday business now! 🙂
I'm often one to stick to more classic lines in clothes, but I found this adorable white shirt and decided to embrace the shoulder cut-out trend. Isn't it cute? And with a price point at under $25, I don't have to feel bad buying something so trendy.
I really loved the lace like top to the shirt too.
To freshen the look I added my lighter shade skinny jeans and tall Kate Spade heels. You could easily dress this down though with cuffed boyfriend jeans and white converse or keds. I also think it would look adorable with shorts when the weather warms up even more. Basically I might live in this shirt this summer.
Accessories wise, I kept it simple since the shirt has a lot going on. I added big gold earrings and several of my favorite gold bracelets. You could add a long necklace, here but I wanted to be careful to not have too much going on.
If you don't like the fresh white, it also comes in black and an orange-red color. Both are pretty adorable.
Shop the look:
Cut-Out Cold-Shoulder Shirt, Old Navy (Also comes in black and orange-red)
Jeans, LOFT. Also try HERE <--my favorite splurge jeans brand or HERE <-- Old Navy Budget Friendly
Shoes, Kate Spade old. Similar HERE or HERE or HERE. <---lower heel
So nice to see you today. Have a great weekend and come back Monday for my favorite healthy finds at ALDI!
