Halloween 2023 was my favorite Halloween yet! The boys are old enough now to remember the holiday and have been so excited for weeks about everything surrounding it. Their energy and excitement was contagious and made the entire holiday even more fun.
I'm just loving doing the family costume, and this year we were Jurassic Park! The boys were excited about being dinosaurs and I was a Jurassic Park paleontologist and the Hub's was a park worker. 🙂
"Welcome to Jurassic Park!"
The costumes were super fun and had light-up wings and tails.
Hunter was a t-rex and Jackson was a pterodactyl.
They spent the entire day running around "roaring."
This one cracked me up because it was a total twin move, with the exact same pose and head tilt.
And here are the dinosaurs attacking the park worker.
We had a full day of Halloween fun, starting off in the early morning with a preschool costume parade and song performance. It was so cute!
We then got to go back to the school classroom and see the boys artwork from the year.
They are really into creating art, so this was super exciting for them. It was so fun to see the classroom too.
When we got back home we did our little "Great Pumpkin" pumpkin egg hunt tradition. I hid the eggs indoors this year because it was so cold.
And finally by late afternoon, we kicked off the fun with our best neighbor friends!
We had a pizza party with them and then were off trick or treating.
Jackson's face says it all!
We eventually met up with all of the kids on our street for such a fun time. The older kids are so sweet to the younger ones and helped them trick or treat. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such lovely neighbors.
It was such a fun night and we had such a fabulous time enjoying all the neighborhood kids. Our local fire department even drove the fire truck through the neighborhood to deliver candy, which was about as wonderful as it can get for young boys!
Halloween 2023 was by far my favorite! What a magical age the boys are in and I'm grateful I get to watch it.
