Peaches and Cream Smoothie - The Best Peach Smoothie!
This Peaches and Cream Smoothie is summer in a cup. This fun twist on a classic peach smoothie is a bit unique because it features creamy greek yogurt, almond milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. The flavors remind me of the summers I spent with my Grandma in Tennessee.
I've had a long-standing love affair with peaches... long before I created this healthy Peaches and Cream Smoothie recipe. My Grandmother Bea used to buy them by the wicker baskets from the Farmer's Market just before we came up for our summer trip to Tennessee from Florida as kids. As soon as my family arrived at her house I remember her slicing them perfectly into little glass bowls for us to eat. She'd serve them after dinner with vanilla ice cream for a perfectly Southern peaches and cream treat. After college, I moved to Peach Country myself. My first job was at a small TV station in Macon, Georgia. I spent the entire two years there and one of my favorite things about living there was the fresh sweet peaches.
With my deep peach roots, I feel like I have a gauge on what makes the BEST peach smoothie... and this is it!
Why You'll Love this Healthy Peach Smoothie recipe...
- This Healthy Peaches and Cream Smoothie recipe is a little more modern than my Grandmother's peach recipe but it takes me right back. A Peach Smoothie is a great way to enjoy peaches!
- It's packed with sweet plump peaches, greek yogurt for the cream, and a dash of cinnamon for flavor.
- It's creamy, delish, and super easy to make because it's only 5 ingredients and takes 5 minutes to make.
- It's 250 calories with 15 grams of protein.
- Peaches are a bit of a unique fruit to add to your smoothies. If you are tired of the same old smoothies, this Peach Smoothie is a fabulous idea.
- If you don't like bananas in your smoothie, this is a great option too!
- It tastes so good and is good for you.
Health Benefits of Peaches:
If you are wondering if peaches make a good smoothie ingredient? They do! Peaches and this Peach Smoothie are filled with peach nutrients like vitamin A, and vitamin C. They also have smaller amounts of vitamins E and K, niacin, folate, iron, choline, potassium, phosphorus, manganese, zinc, and copper.
Ingredients:
Here's an overview of what you'll need to make this Peach Smoothie recipe, but keep scrolling for the full recipe amounts.
- Peaches: There are two ways to make this smoothie. The first way is with frozen peaches. You can either freeze summer-ripe peaches or buy the ones already frozen in the grocery store... either way it works. That gives the smoothie an icy consistency without adding ice. You can also use fresh which is fabulous in the summer. But unfrozen peaches but you will need to add at least a handful of ice to the smoothie to get the icy consistency. For the thickest, creamier smoothie, use frozen peaches.
- Greek Yogurt: To get the creamy flavor for a Peaches and Cream Smoothie I use vanilla greek yogurt. Use full fat or low fat, depending on your dietary preferences.
- Almond Milk: You can use your favorite milk or whatever you have on hand. I like to use vanilla unsweetened almond milk because it's got a great, flavor, and texture and is low in calories.
- Vanilla Extract: A touch of vanilla extract gives this smoothie the flavor of my grandma's peaches and cream.
- Cinnamon: A touch of cinnamon is unexpected but brings out the baked almost peach pie or peach cobbler flavors in the smoothie.
Instructions:
This is an overview of the instructions to make this Peach Smoothie recipe, but the full detailed printable recipe is below in the recipe card.
- Get out your favorite high-speed blender. I love this one!
- Place the peaches, greek yogurt, almond milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in the blender.
- Mix until smooth. If it's too thick add a splash more of milk.
- Pour into a glass and garnish with fresh peaches.
Variations
I love this Peach Smoothie recipe as written, but here are some fun variations.
- Make it Vegan Peach Smoothie: Substitute your favorite plant-based vanilla yogurt for the greek yogurt.
- Make it Sweeter: Peaches are naturally pretty sweet, but if it's not enough for you add some honey.
- Mix up the Fruit: Other fruits that taste great with peaches are bananas, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, pineapple, or mango.
- Make a Peach Banana Smoothie: Use one small banana in place of one cup of peaches.
- Make it Peach Orange Smoothie: Use orange juice instead of almond milk.
- Make it Green: Add a handful of your favorite greens like spinach or kale.
- Make it Protein: Add a scoop of your favorite vanilla protein powder.

Nancy says
Do you know the calorie count on this? I've been doing some fun things with fresh fruits this summer in my smoothies as well but I try to watch the calorie count in them. If you haven't tried it, you should use the coconut/almond blend. Still low cal but the mixture adds a nice twist. And in lieu of yogurt, I use banana to give it the consistency.
JulieWunder says
It should be about 250 if you use 0% fat greek yogurt and the almond milk with 30 calories per cup 🙂 So I would be careful with this one!
I love using a banana for a creamy smoothie too! I tested it that way with this one and I turned out a little too banana-y. The peach did not mask it well. Still tasty delicious... but wasn't the straight up peachy taste I was looking for!
Thanks for stopping by today and for the great ideas!

When I was a child we lived in northern Georgia and on summer vacation (to Florida), we traveled through "Peach Country". The scent of peaches filled the air and you have brought back to mind those heavenly experiences.
Pen of my favorite things about Georgia is the way they named their counties... Peach, Crisp, Bacon... makes me eager for some fresh peaches NOW. This smoothie of yours looks yummy. Thank you, Julie.
JulieWunder says
Haha! I know! All about the food!
Blane Sherer says
