Get ready for a taste of summer with my healthy Strawberry and Mango Smoothie recipe!
Hi friends!
Summer is just around the corner and I can't wait. Can you believe Memorial Day is THIS weekend? I'll be on my deck soaking in the sun (Well, the shade. I don't tan! Who am I kidding?) eating fresh fruits and vegetables and enjoying the season.
And while smoothies are my jam year-round, there is something that just screams summer about this one! My healthy Strawberry and Mango Smoothie recipe is one of my personal favorites.
Yes, you could just throw it in a blender and mix it all together, but aren't the layers fun?
The strawberry part has a touch of green spinach, which alters the color slightly but not the taste.
I left the mango side greens free so that vibrant yellow would shine.
The secret to get the layers is to make and pour the strawberry layer first. While you're blending the mango, pop it in the freezer. Just keep it in there long enough to create the second layer. That should give you just enough firmness to get clean layers.
This healthy meal may look like an indulgent tropical drink, but it is actually a totally healthy way to start off the day.
The sweet, tropical mango pairs perfectly with the ripe red berries. It's a match made in smoothie heaven.
Enjoy!

Your turn?
Do you like summer?
Do you actually tan if you try? (Just curious! Not encouraging it, it's obviously bad for your skin.)
