I am still working on a bigger post about the boy's pumpkin-themed birthday party, but today I wanted to drop in to share a few photos from Hunter and Jackson's baptism this past Sunday. Their baptism was so important to me and I wanted it to feel just as special as their birthday!
We were a little late in doing it for dozens of reasons but mostly because I wanted to do it at a time that most of our family could come and waiting until their first birthday to do everything together just made logistical sense.
I ordered the boy's outfits on Etsy and they looked so sweet.
We named my brother, Tommy, Godfather for both Hunter and Jackson.
Shon's sister Danielle is Hunter's Godmother and Megan is Jackson's Godmother.
On a slightly unrelated note... look how much Hunter looks like my Brother here!
The church does baptisms early in the service, so we were up in front of the congregation pretty quickly.
The rest of our families, including my Dad, stood up with us.
The boys were being little hams!
I think Jackson even spotted the camera and gave a good smile.
The baptism went well (no one cried!) and then the boys got walked up the aisle.
Our church calls this the baby parade!
Jackson was so stoic. And did the little arm bend that he likes to do for photos. No smiles at all though!
Hunter actually cuddled with the other pastor which is so funny considering you can never get cuddles from him at home.
I teared up watching them. It was such a special moment for our family.
The pastors handed back off the babies and just as I thought we were good....
... Jackson reached over and pulled Hunter's hair in front of everyone! Hunter started immediately crying and I had to get him calmed down.
We spent the rest of the service listening to a wonderful sermon about how amazing God's grace is and how it is the greatest gift we have. It was just what I needed to hear, as I know life with twins requires lots of grace!
I'm so grateful to have my Dad and Brother there with us on this special day.
And here was the rest of the crew! I couldn't imagine life without these guys.
Back at the house, we had ANOTHER cake to celebrate.
This was such a special way to end one of the most memorable weekends of my life. I'm so glad the babies have the gift of God's grace and baptism in their lives.
I'd like to thank my dear friend Sommer for taking these photos for us! Make sure to check out her super successful food blog, A Spicy Perspective. It's filled with gorgeous and delicious recipes I know you will love.

What a special day for the family! Look on the bright side - the only shenanigans were at the end of the baptism part of the service and not during the entire thing.
