Hi everyone!
I'm settling back into Asheville this week after spending last week on Amelia Island, Florida. It was the first time we'd been and we loved it. The beaches were gorgeous and nearly empty. The food was super delicious and it was just a really EASY adventure for us. In a world where everything seems hard, that was such a blessing.
I'm working on a big travel guide for you in the next few weeks but in the meantime, I thought I'd share just a few of my favorite photos from the trip. Here are my top 15 favorite moments from the trip.
We had to climb over a big dune to get to the beach and it was such a pretty view. For the first time the babies were able to walk some of it by themselves and that was pretty fun for everyone.
One of the highlights of the week was the beach trucks we brought from home. We got these toys just for the beach because the boys have been so obsessed with trucks lately.
They REALLY enjoyed them and we got some pretty amazing smiles from both of them.
Turns out dump trucks are the perfect beach toys.
We also spent a lot of time just playing in the sand and watching birds and planes/helicopters flying by. Hunter is also plane obsessed and has to stop and watch.
Here we are talking about our mutual love of the beach and planes. 🙂
We actually didn't have the best weather while we were there and a couple of days were crazy windy. We still made the most of it though and this photo of Hunter fighting the wind made me laugh. I actually think the beaches were even less crowded because of the weather, so it was kind of a blessing in disguise.
And here was our crazy optimistic idea of bringing chairs down the beach. Turns out the babies just thought the chair was for them. 🙂
We had so much space at the beach which was just wonderful.
And here's the day we got a little glimpse of sunshine and blue skies.
I woke up in the morning before the babies got up to watch the sunrise which was such a treat. Isn't is pretty??
And this photo is terrible quality but I could not resist sharing this pic of the twins hugging. What a sweet moment.
AND I can't share my favorite photos of the trip without throwing in this one! My Dad and Margaret came over from Orlando to visit for part of the time. It was so nice to see them!
We had such a lovely trip! I have so many incredible food and travel photos to edit and put together for you in the coming weeks. I'm going to write a few travel guides if you've been curious about going to the area too. It was definitely worth the trip.
I can't wait to share more with you soon.
Happy Friday and Happy Halloween everyone. Follow me on Instagram to see what the boys are dressing up as this year.

Hi there! My Dad has stayed at both the Omni and Ritz and liked them both. We liked rentals in the Ocean Place Tower. VRBO has a ton of great options.
