Orange Mango Smoothie Smoothie Starbucks
And, the best part? This smoothie has no added sugar like you'd find in the Starbucks or Panera Mango Orange Smoothies. This copycat version is healthier and tastier! The have taken them off the menu, but it's nice to be able to make your own still at home.
Ingredients:
Here's an overview of what you'll need to make this Mango Orange Smoothie, but keep scrolling for the full recipe amounts.
- Frozen fruit (mangoes, bananas): Frozen fruit including mangos and bananas guarantees your smoothie will have a nice thick icy texture without having to water it down with ice.
- Oranges: Fresh oranges add a nice combination of sweet and tart flavors to the smoothie. This is the perfect citrus for the recipe.
- Orange Juice or Almond Milk: Whether you choose orange juice or almond milk is up to you and your preferred amount of sweetness or creaminess. You can also substitute coconut milk.
Instructions:
This is an overview of the instructions to make this Mango Orange Smoothie, but the full detailed printable recipe is below in the recipe card.
- Add all of the ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth. You'll blend for about 2 minutes until the mixture is thick and creamy.
- Pour into a glass.
- Enjoy! Tastes just like your favorite mango orange juice!
Variations and Pro Tips
- Make it Banana Free: If you want a banana-free smoothie you could make this with extra mango and leave out the banana.
- Make it a Green Smoothie: Add a handful of greens for even more nutrients in your smoothie. The color will turn out funky, but it will still taste great.
- Make it Sweeter: Need it sweeter? Add some honey!
- Add a Kick: Some fresh ginger added to this will add some zing and up the antioxidant qualities of the drink.
Storage & Freezing
I recommend making and enjoying smoothies fresh, so they don't get a strange consistency. This will not keep well in the fridge or freezer.
Can I add ice to the smoothie?
You can certainly add a handful of ice if you want to, but I find ice tends to make the smoothie watery. This is why I opt to use frozen fruit, as it helps make the smoothie thick and creamy.
How can I make the smoothie more filling?
Some of my favorite additions to make a smoothie more filling include Greek yogurt, seeds or nut butter, leafy greens, and oats. You could certainly experiment with one of these add-ins if you'd like to!
How many calories in a mango smoothie?
Mine has 230 calories! Mangos are a bit higher in calories which makes this smoothie add up fast. You get a mega dose of vitamin C with this smoothie though!
Is mango and orange a good combination?
Yes! Mango and orange compliment each other so well, whether in a mango orange juice or this mango orange smoothie the bright flavors play well together and make a fabulous drink. Don't shy away from making this recipe because it tastes amazing.
What blender is the best for smoothies?
Vitamix is the gold standard for making rich and smooth smoothies. This high speed blender is a faborite to get the best consistency. With that being said, I have ownded this more budget-friendly option from Ninja for years and think it also does a great job.
