Change the way you dress your salads with my Simple Healthy Salad Dressing recipe!
Hi everyone!
Get excited!!! I've got another DIY/ life hack video comin' at ya today. This time around I'm talking about salads and the Simple Healthy Salad Dressing I made up that completely transformed the way I make salads at home.
I used to buy salad dressings all the time, but never loved the labels. After I got back from Italy I had this gorgeous bottle of high quality olive oil to use, so I started experimented with adding just a touch to my salads. I ended up adding some fancy balsamic and eventually a lemon to the "recipe." Because I'm all about kitchen shortcuts I ended up making it right in the same bowl as the greens. Over time it just became the way I make many of my salads. I decided it was too good of an idea not to share!
Yes, this pretty perfectly dressed salad was made with just one bowl. No mess... no fuss and all healthy ingredients!
Follow along here in my DIY video....
A simple toss really is all it takes to get a good Simple Healthy Salad Dressing. Look for different flavored vinegars to mix it up. In general this "recipe" is going to be a lot healthier than dressings from a bottle.
In the video I talked about how it's worth it to splurge on good ingredients when you are making it this way. Since you are only using a few things and so little of it, it's worth it to buy the bottles that really taste good.
Try this Balsamic Vinegar Glaze, this Red Wine Vinegar or this Olive Oil. I also love the Celtic Sea Salt.
Make sure to give this a try and let me know what you think.

I love how you made it in the bowl with the salad. Your video is loaded with ads though- makes it tough to watch.

Sounds very simple. I have been making my own lately with apple cider. I also put in some minced garlic and parsley. But I always mix it in a different bowl first so I can taste it and then I know if I need to adjust the flavor at all.
JulieWunder says
That sounds wonderful too!
Susie @ Suzlyfe says
Whenever I need a quick dressing, I whisk balsamic and grainy mustard. Quick simple, and gives me everything I need!
JulieWunder says
YUM! That sounds good too!
