We went on a Disney cruise! We spent the week before last in Florida and the Bahamas with the Wunder clan for a big family trip. It was one legendary week, from the food to the shows and constant entertainment. Disney knows how to entertain a family for sure!
I'm planning a full review and post about the cruise in the coming weeks, but first I wanted to share with you some of my favorite family moments from the cruise. Here I'm sharing my top 20 favorite photos from the photos I took you can also see my top 20 favorite photos from the professional photographers they had on the boat. The second post includes all of our fabulous character interactions, which was a huge highlight of the trip. I had over 500 photos to upload, so it was hard to narrow it down!
Here's our crew just after boarding the ship! We were so excited to be on the boat.
And here we are in the lobby just after we got our magic "wish" wands for boarding the Disney Wish.
It was so exciting to explore a ship we'd dreamed about going on for almost a year!
Here are the twins ready for dinner the first night. I just loved these shirts and this was the best photo I got in them.
We also celebrated my Dad's 75th Birthday early with a surprise cake and I had these faces on a sticks made of him to surprise him.
The themed dinners were a highlight of the entire cruise! Here's Hunter and Daddy at the Avengers one. There was also a Frozen-themed dinner and a classic Disney dining room. Instead of eating in one spot, you rotated through three restaurants, which was fun.
Another highlight of the cruise was all of the fun character interactions. I have most of those photos to share with you as part of Friday's post with the professional photographers, but here's a sneak peak. The boys got some quality time with the characters which was so fun. They are in that magical season where this is so real for them.
We also had a blast playing on the boat including the outdoor slides and the fun kid's waterplay area.
They also had tons of themed Disney treats!
We also got a day to explore Disney's private island, Castaway Cay.
It was so beautiful and that slide was such a unique addition.
The kids also got some really fun time to play together. Hunter loved playing with Holden in the sand. Holden loves the beach and sand as much as Hunter.
One of our favorite nights of the cruise was Pirate Night where the entire boat dresses like pirates! My pirate-loving boys had a blast with this and so did I.
They had a huge stage show for the kids with dancing. I wish I had a video of Hunter doing is breakdance-style moves. 🙂
Everyone stayed up super late to watch the fireworks at sea, which my boys said was one of their favorite parts of the cruise.
Another huge highlight was having these amazing balconies that opened up to where the entire family could hang out together.
There was some serious Disney magic through the week.
Here's proof of all of the adults...
And here's my Dad, Brother, and I! I am so grateful we had this time together and made so many special memories. Spending time together really is the most special thing in the world to me.
All of the kids really felt the magic on the boat and you should hear them talk about all of the incredible experiences they had. Life has been kind of boring once we got back! 🙂
I'm so grateful to my Dad for taking us all on this cruise and getting this incredibly precious time with my family! The fun is just getting started with these posts. Also check out the top 20 favorite photos from the professional photographers on the ship that were around taking photos, which includes some really fun character interactions with the boys and our family photos from the trip. I'm also going to share more of an official review of the cruise soon including some of my honest opinions of the cruise and tips for first-timers.
See y'll Friday for more Disney fun...
