Hello! Hello!
Happy Friday from two adorable babies in the dog bed!!!! 🙂
On an unrelated note... I don't HAVE to stop calling them babies... do I?
The boys have always gravitated to Makena's bed but they have been especially funny lately with getting into it. Hunter has also developed a love for all things soft and cozy... so it is right up his alley.
They even climb right in with Makena and bring her toys and books. These crazy munchkins are giving her a run for her money.
One of the biggest highlights of the week was we finally got a mild, sunny and rain-free day Monday. I had the boys all day and we went for a long walk and then I let them run around outside.
They loved exploring and it was a great way to use up some of their never-ending energy.
They are getting a little braver outside so I'm still worried that they are going to start running in different directions from me... but for now, it's working. Getting outside gave me a serious dose of spring fever. I'm counting down days until it gets warmer.
On Sunday we had a family lunch date to White Duck Taco.
The boys did really good and I think they like getting out and people watching.
For any parents out there, they had a yummy quesadilla option for them that was super inexpensive.
The Hub's and I celebrated Valentine's Day on Saturday. We've been having trouble coming up with new ideas of things to do but a Yelp search led us to the new Forestry Camp, which is owned by Burial Brewing. We really enjoyed the drinks and snacks. I loved that they had some cocktails on tap and not just beer.
We also shared a cheeseboard. They had lots of really interesting menu options too. I'd like to go back and try more!
For dinner, we ended up at Red Lobster. I'm a sucker for a good food commercial and they had been running the Lobsterfest commercials on repeat. I caved and it was worth every bite!
My family always ate at one of the first Red Lobster's growing up in Orlando and I have a soft spot for it. It feels super nostalgic to go!
The Hub's and I also got a lunch date this week and we got brunch at the Over Easy Cafe. It was one of the yummiest meals I've had in some time!
I'm actually writing this a day early this week because it's supposed to snow on Thursday (tomorrow) and I'm not sure if our nanny is going to be able to get here and help me in the afternoon when I normally write this. SO if it does snow I'll have those snow pics for you next week. I hope if it does it's at least enough for the boys to make a little snowman. 🙂
Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend. I'll see you back here Monday with a new recipe.

It was so nice to read this and catch up! The boys are so big and so cute. Isn't it fun? I'm sure they keep you going. I can't wait for it to warm up either. I hear we are supposed to get snow tomorrow. Ugh...

Boys get so cute. When I had my in home daycare in Black Mountain I had two little ones outside and they did take off in different directions. Julie I have to tell you love your floors. Have a blessed weekend.

oh super sweet! They have gotten so big. I remember how hard it was to chase my son around at that age. Can't imagine 2 at once!

In the boys defense, Makena's bed does look super comfy and cozy so I get their love for it! Sounds like you had a pretty good week. It seems like breweries are now starting to offer more options outside of beer. A friend and I went to one a while ago and she had cider they brewed since she's gluten free while I enjoyed beer. Everyone wins then!
