Hi everyone! I'm so grateful that the tax deadline is Monday and we get the Hubs back after a crazy couple of months of him working overdrive. Send some prayers to us for the weekend, because I think it's going to be a long one.
In between lots and lots of rain and even more cold, I've been trying to pack in some fun activities for the boys so they don't miss Dad as much.
One of the highlights was going to the Biltmore to see the spring flowers in bloom.
I look forward to seeing the walled garden with the tulips every year, and this year did not dissapoint.
The colors are gorgeous and we got to go on the warmest day of the year so far, which was so lovely.
I got this cute photo of the boys. I swear they did not pick that tulip and that they found it snapped off on the ground.
The other fun adventure we had was going to Hendersonville to the Team ECCO Aquarium and Shark Lab. It had been on our list to check out on a cold or rainy day for awhile.
They have a stingray right now named Charlotte who somehow managed to get herself pregnant without a baby daddy.... which was pretty cool to see. They have made national headlines over it, so it seemed like a good time to check out the place.
It's a small place, but they had all sorts of cute, educational, and interactive exhibits for the kids. The boys loved the table of sea life to touch and the shark feeding. They also got to interact with several smaller animals, which they loved.
The people who work there were incredibly interesting and engaging too! We had a great time and definitely would recommend it.
And finally, the last highlight of the week was seeing the partial solar eclipse on Monday.
The boys got a science lesson from it, and my science geek self loved it.
That's all for this week! We'll be laying low this weekend, counting down the days until tax season is over.
Thanks for reading everyone! I hope you had a nice week too.
