Hi guys!
Since I went to the beach a few weeks ago, I feel like it's been way too long since we've just caught up on regular ole' life! First up is some big news. Hunter took his FIRST STEPS!!!!
He has been standing on his own for weeks and has built up to standing nearly 30 seconds by himself. Last Saturday evening he took two steps on his own from standing by himself. I thought it was a fluke because he didn't seem to want to do it again. BUT at our first Kindermusik class of the year, he took another four or five by himself in front of the whole crowd. I gasp and he got a big cheer!
I never thought I'd have a nine-month-old walking baby... but here he is! I feel like it might be a bit before he's walking a ton BUT he definitely has been practicing a lot more since Wednesday's music class. Jackson is also walking with his baby walker.
I have no video or photo evidence yet... but I'll work on it.
On that same note our little music class kicked off again this week and we had so much fun. Both babies were all over the place and seemed to love it. I'm so happy to have the chance to get them out and around other kids.
And in case you were wondering... YES Jackson has FIVE teeth. And this is what happens when you give babies raspberries. 🙂
Another highlight of the week was meeting a friend at a local indoor play area. They had the perfect space for babies and toddlers and all the kids loved it.
I got the biggest goofy grins out of both Hunter and Jackson.
It's so fun to watch them explore.
Also, the boys hit nine months and I finally took their photos. The Hubs and I had the worst time this month and didn't actually get a single one of them together. Here's why....
They are all over the place! I'm not sure my photo prop is going to make it until 12 months. I did get a cute one of Jackson.
The one of Hunter is not the best... but it will have to do!
I can't decide whether to try again or just let it go.
On a totally unrelated note, the sunflowers are in bloom at the Biltmore!!!! I'm completely obsessed with sunflowers and seeing them in bloom is hands down one of my favorite things to do in Asheville all year long.
We actually ended up going to the Biltmore to celebrate my birthday last weekend. I was so happy that they sunflowers were in bloom during our visit.
I got all of my favorite things for my b-day this year... sunflowers, wine and cheese! We had a nice low-key afternoon... which was exactly what I wanted.
That's about it for the week! I have a big weekend with my three best girlfriends from high school coming to town for our own mini-reunion weekend. I hope you have something fun planned too.
I'm taking Monday off for the holiday but will have a new post on Wednesday. Hope to see you then.

I loved the update. I knew the boys would be walking by nine months. All the signs were there. It's good you are taking the boys to be around other children. That's important for their social development.
I hope you have a great weekend with your friends.
