The boys had fall break last week, so I decided to take them on a fun tour of Asheville for their break.
The weather was beautiful and we could not resist going out! Just in the last 6 months, I've felt more comfortable taking them out on longer adventures myself without a stroller as backup, so that's really opened the door to some of the fun things we can do.
The most fun and adventurous thing we did was take a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway looking for fall colors. We had a little picnic about half way up and kept going to Graveyard Fields.
The colors were really popping up there!
We were able to do the short hike to the waterfalls at the bottom.
The boys had a blast and loved the adventure. They thought it was so cool to do a little hike!
I'm so glad they got to see this!
And these views too! It was a gorgeous day and we got lucky to see such pretty trees.
We also were able to stop by the Biltmore to see the mums in the walled garden. They were gorgeous this year!
It was so pretty!
We also made it to the Arboretum got lunch at their cute cafe and enjoyed the flowers.
And finally, we stopped by a local pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins for the year.
We've been coming to this patch each year since they were born, so it's always a bit nostalgic to go back.
And here's proof I was there. Daddy joined us for this adventure. 🙂
And yes, we are tired! It was probably a bit much to do, but they were soaking it up! The weather turned really cold quickly, so I'm glad we got to enjoy everything in the mild weather.
That's it for this week. The Hubs has a work trip in Key West, so we are heading there for a long weekend! Follow along on my Instagram and I'll have more on the blog next week.
