Hi everyone from a super rain-soaked Asheville. I'm writing this late Thursday afternoon where we've already had nearly 10 inches of rain and the storm hasn't even made landfall in Florida yet. We are under a very rare inland Tropical Storm warning and the boys are off school both today and Friday.
I'm ready for power and water outages but hoping we can make it through the night and morning with this storm without disruptions. Send some prayers our way and for the many communities around us that are close to the water and under a much larger threat than us from flooding. We do not live near a stream, river or creek.
We were having a pretty normal week before it screeched to a halt with storm preps. We spent the weekend planting our fall flowers. I've since moved them under cover but I'm hoping I don't have to replace them.
We also had soccer again. We got rained on but were still able to finish it.
And we went out to dinner afterward, which was fun.
On a side note, the boys have been loving writing and have been excited about their alphabet lately, which is a big change of pace for them. I feel like they haven't been excited to learn about it until now. They were also sad school was canceled, which was so sweet. So I think we are finally getting a bit more settled in school. 🙂
That's all I have for this week! I'll hopefully be able to let everyone know we are fine on Instagram sometime tomorrow! Prayers for everyone in the path of this monster storm.
