Hi everyone! I'm grateful for another calm, normal week with no surprises. We've spent time reading, doing house organization, and playing outside. It is nice to have a bit of normal. I published a new recipe this week, Cottage Cheese Egg Bake, in case you missed it. It has 20 grams of protein a serving, and you don't taste the cottage cheese.
The boys' latest game this week is playing police officers Hunter and Jackson. They have a closet of pretend clothes like this, and it warms my heart that it's all still a favorite toy. They had this elaborate story going where they created an art show, and they were the police that let people in.
There was also a decent amount of writing tickets to Mama. 🙂
We've also had a lot of windy weather recently, and all sorts of new limbs have fallen off the trees.
Luckily, our favorite lawn crew, Hunter and Jackson, came to help with their tractors. It's so delightful when their games really do help us with something! We are still waiting for the huge pile of debris in our cul-de-sac to get picked up.
Finally, one day this week felt like summer, with temperatures in the upper 70s. The boys changed into shorts after school, and, wow, it was good for us all!
I also got my bike out with the warmer weather. I don't think I ever shared my Christmas present, which is this adorable bike! I wanted a bike where I could ride with the boys at the park, and of course, I asked for a classic and cute pink one. I'm so excited to break this out with the warmer weather. I need to get some sort of bike rack, though, to take the bikes to the park since the boys have bigger ones now that don't just fit in my trunk.
Real spring can't come soon enough. Asheville is still looking pretty rough with tree damage everywhere, and some green vegetation will be good for us all.
That's all for this week. We have our last non-busy weekend this weekend before baseball starts. I'm going to soak it in!
I hope everyone is healthy and happy. Thanks for reading, and we'll see you on Monday for another brand new recipe. 🙂
