Hi guys!
Did you miss the new posts this week?
This week has been so much better. The boys have settled back down a little bit after our trip and the routine felt wonderful for everyone. The holidays and vacation are nice but it has been weeks and weeks since we've had NORMAL and normal felt pretty nice.
The highlight of the week adult-wise was a date night downtown. We normally opt for a date day because it work better with the boy's routine but our nanny couldn't do that this week so we decided to try an evening date. It takes two people to put the boys down for bed right now so we couldn't go out until they were down but we still had a great time.
I wanted proof I was out after dark and had the Hubs snap this photo.
We got the lobster and shrimp garlic bread... which was incredible.
We also splurged since we don't get a date night that often and got the clam bake. It was incredible and we enjoyed it so much. We even ended up bringing some shrimp home for the boys and they loved it too.
Dessert was also really tasty. It was such a treat to go out to one of our favorite places in town.
Since we didn't have our date afternoon during the weekend we ended up taking the boys out. They got all dressed up for the occasion. 🙂
We started at the grocery store because the boys have been eating an insane amount of food lately. I've been having trouble figuring out the right amount to get for them and I keep not buying enough which has meant going to the grocery store a few times a week.
The boys didn't mind because we snagged a race cart buggy. (We wiped it off really well before we let them in. 🙂 )
This is only the second time they've been in one and they were so funny in it... especially Jackson.
Who needs to pay for entertainment with fun like this? We also got burritos for lunch which made for a perfectly kid friendly day.
This week has been filled with lots of playing and eating. I gave the boys spoons to play with and for the first time, they seemed really interested in using them.
They both loved them and Hunter even got some food in his mouth with it.
It's been really cold, so there haven't been many outings with the babies after this weekend.
We stuck close to home which was nice too.
I tried to get a good photo of them to share with you guys this week and they were NOT interested in sitting still which led to this crazy collection of blurry photos...
And finally, the only one I got that was even a little clear was this one. It's funny because they were laughing so hard and somehow I only got this smirks. Silly boys!
That's about it for this week. Sometimes routine is just what the doctor ordered!
Hope you guys had a nice week too. I'll be back Monday with a new recipe and Wednesday with the second part of my travel guide for Sanibel.
Your turn!
How was your week?

The twins couldn't possibly be more adorable! So glad life is settling back to some form of normalcy! Tho I'm sure you will "all" be glad when tax season is over and Hunter and Jackson can have quality "Dad" time again.
Love the "night out" photo of you, btw!
