Hi guys!
I had another wonderful week. I keep sitting down to write these posts thinking not much has happened this week and then I go to edit the photos and remember what a lovely a time I actually had. I know I sound like a broken record, but I seem to be living in this bubble right now where the time goes by way too fast. Life is challenging but so lovely lately and I just want it to slow down a bit. Sorry to be so cheesy, but that's just how I'm feeling lately.
Here's why... these boys just keep getting cuter and cuter and I just can't stand it.
And don't forget about these cuties too... 🙂
Here's what else happened this week...
Standing Babies
Guess what happened last Friday??? Hunter pulled up on the couch! He had been pulling up on us when we were sitting down for a while, but it was the first time he figured out he could do it without any help. He did it and laughed. I cheered and cried a little too. My baby is moving WAY to fast for me. I'm afraid of how early he might walk...
He's proceeded to practice all week and already hit his head once.
Jackson is mastering sitting on his own and is working on transitioning from sitting to crawling. They are both SO mobile and it's a whole new world around here.
And I swear the cutest pictures I get of them are grainy.
Garden Update
I realized I had not taken the time to share with you guys photos of my garden this year. I tried to scale back what I normally do and pick things that I knew would be easier to take care of because of my serious lack of free time these days. I seriously considered just skipping it, but I love it too much to give it up for now.
I settled on a few squash/zucchini plants. One of these is a golden zucchini plant, which I'm pretty excited about.
I also did a bunch of peppers. They grow well for me without a lot of fuss.
I also put in some green beans. I thought I picked the bush variety, but these seem to be growing on a vine... so we'll see what happens!
I got my first harvest this week... two yellow squash.
On our deck, I updated the herb tower. I've already had trouble with my basil. It seemed to get some sort of black fungus and it's almost all died. Does anyone know what happened?
For my flowers, I traded my high maintenance petunias for begonias and it was the best decision I've made in a while!
These begonias have just as much color and I don't have to spend hours deadheading them. I may never go back.
I also did some shade friendly greens in my whiskey barrel. I love the way it all turned out and am curious to see how it will handle the heat of July and August.
We also have exploding berries at our house. We planted blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries in our yard years ago and they have finally taken off! I'm so excited.
Good Eats
I have eaten well this week, my friends!
First up is a Sugar Kiss Cantelope. I got this at Publix and it is the most delicious fruit I've eaten in a while. If you see this particular variety of melon, snag one and send me a note to say thank you. 🙂
For my weekly lunch date with the Hubs we went to Chestnut and I got an artichoke sandwich which was delicious.
Another afternoon I was not feeling my lunch choices at home and went to pick up a salad from Panera. I am officially OBSESSED with their Strawberry Caprese Salad. I'm going to make a copy-cat version for the blog soon.
I also had the most delightful sushi Saturday. I'm so glad I can eat it again!
And finally, the Hubs and I made this dinner again on Sunday. We loved it so much the other week, we had to repeat it. It's Sesame Seared Tuna, Teriyaki Roasted Brussel Sprouts, and white rice. The Teriyaki Brussels Sprouts are also going to have to become a blog recipe- they are so good. They are my new favorite side dish to make at home.
That's all for this week, friends! Have a beautiful weekend and I'll see you back here Monday.

They are getting so big! My son was so active at that age that I could not keep up with him once he was mobile. Cannot imagine life with 2 little boys at once!

Hope you lowered their mattresses. I didn't do mine soon enough and my son pulled up before. I knew he could and fell out. I felt so bad. Those little ones couldn't get any courier.
