Happy Fri-yay!
This week has once again gone by so fast. With the exception of going to Charlotte for a meeting yesterday, it was kind of uneventful. The Hubs is the thick of tax season again, so it’s a quieter season for me too.
After a spring like week last week, winter and rain returned and it was kind of a bummer. I can't wait for real spring to come! Makena can't wait either. 🙂
She basically refused to go outside for the two days it poured rain this week... which was a blast. really...

Weekly Happenings
Bathroom Update
The bathroom remodel is still happening. They have started grouting, so it's in the final stretch, but not over yet. I was going to share some photos, but at this point I decided to just wait until it's finished. Hopefully I'll have some finished pictures soon. It's coming together nicely and already looks so much better. I just can't wait to move back into our bedroom and bathroom though... we've been using the guest room since January.
Broken Treadmill
In other random news, my treadmill broke this week. She had a long, lovely life and I ran countless miles on her... so it's not surprising... but still also a major bummer. I was hoping we could get past the bathroom remodel without having to replace it, but it looks like I'll be heading to the store to buy a new one this weekend. I use it so much that not having it, even for just a few days, has already really stunk! If you have a treadmill you love what brand is it?
Recent Eats
I was going through my photos for the week and I think the most exciting thing I did was eat some tasty food! This is the smoothie bowl I made a few days in a row...
Inside is frozen mango, pineapple, banana, kale, protein powder and almond milk. Sooo good!
Last Saturday the Hubs and I went to our favorite pizza place in town, Fahrenheit Pizza. It was just as delicious as always. If you are local, you have to check them out.
I also had this scrumptious tuna salad at the Char Bar.
My favorite meal of the week was in Charlotte though! After my meeting, I met my college roommate Lori at eeZ Fusion & Sushi for lunch and got this Bento Box. It had a mahi taco and a sushi roll in it, so I was in heaven. Lori recently adopted a second son from Bulgaria, so it was wonderful to meet him for the first time too.
The Hubs and I are going out to dinner tonight and I can't wait. I feel like I've hardly seen him this week! I hope your weekend is just as lovely.
Your turn!
How was your week and what are you doing this weekend?

Your smoothie bowl is so pretty! And the bento box looks fun. I hope you had a fun date night with your hubby. Tax season is no fun for anyone, I can only imagine what it's like for him. Poor guy. I see the end in sight though!
Can't wait to see the newly finished bathroom - I bet it looks great.
I can't help with the treadmill situation, that is a bummer. When I started running, I started in the spring, so I was able to run outside all spring, summer & fall. When winter came around, I told my hubby I wanted to buy a treadmill and he figured when we got one, I would stop running, so he told me to try running through the winter and if I kept it up for a few more months, we'd consider shelling out for one. Since I made it through the winter, I realized we didn't need one and just run outdoors. But I know that treadmill running is much better on your joints!
And Makena! Oh my gosh what a cutie! Our pup is the same, rain is a no go 😉

What a bummer about the treadmill!! I’m not a treadmill fan so I can’t help you there, but I hope you find a great one soon!
Our weekend has been super low key - hanging out at home, baking, reading, crafting and church!

Sorry about your treadmill! Hope you can find a great deal on a new one. That bento box and smoothie bowl look amazing!

Yep. Hard to imagine you without a treadmill.
Glad the bathroom remodel is coming down the home stretch.
Hope you enjoy your weekend.

Bummer about the treadmill but I am sure you will find the perfect one this weekend. That Bento box looks amazing!!! Sounds like a fun week and yes--the rain in NC has been a bit relentless, hasn't it? We are in Ohio this weekend to see family so we are battling the snow and gross weather to get everywhere we need to go. Enjoy your weekend!

Hi Julie. I dont have a readmill, but an exercise bike from Nordic Trac. We are going out to a place called Little Italy....we have never been and have heard from friends how good it is. I have been craving good spaghetti. Five of us going. Have a grat weekend.

I took the baby and dog out in the rain yesterday morning and felt like a champion mom. And then we went out in sunshine later that day!
Your mention of grout turns my stomach. I. Hate. Grout. It is so impossible to clean.

At least the treadmill died at the end of winter instead of the beginning right? That's a silver lining hopefully!
This week was a good one. Work was quiet which is always nice and I got some good workouts in as well. I can't wait for this weekend though. Car shopping and a game night are on the agenda. Have a great weekend!

That smoothie bowl, tho....

Sorry to hear about your treadmill dying. I'd probably have to go out and get another one right away too. I have an older one that is a gold's gym model, but it works great and does all the basic stuff, even a speaker in it that you can hook music up to it. I know a lot of the newer ones have that fun Ifit app that can be installed into them. Good luck in buying one. Please share which one you end up getting.
