Are you having trouble getting off the couch? Do you want to workout but just can’t seem to muster up the energy or time?
I know how you feel! I find it especially hard this time of year when it is colder outside and dark earlier. Not to mention how busy I get with trying to keep up with holiday shopping and obligations. Sometimes I feel exhausted just thinking about what I have to do. Tis the season… right?
But even though time seems to constantly slip by me and almost disappears in front of my eyes, I always know a run or workout will make a few of those moments a little more special. My workout time is when I know I am doing something to improve my health and wellness and therefore, my future. It’s my time to reflect, to improve and to sweat. It gives me the physical and mental strength to make all my other moments more powerful.
So with that in mind, how about a little more inspiration for this week to get us moving? I’ve picked a few Pinterest pins and inspirational quotes to share with you to kick off this hectic holiday season week.
BTW, has anyone noticed how Pinterest simultaneously makes you want to bake decadent, elaborate calorie-rich desserts while attempting ridiculously hard body weight pumping new Crossfit workouts? The irony. But I digress...

The only disability in life is having a bad attitude.
- Oscar Pistorius, Olympic and Paralympic Runner
Winning has nothing to do with racing. Most days don’t have races anyway. Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.
- Amby Burfoot
Run for The Paws 5K in 2011
This is when I FINALLY reached my under 30min 5K goal!
SO! Don't be afraid to try something new! You can run, walk, swim, get a workout DVD or join a gym. But you will never get where you want to go if you don't just take that first step! You have to run hard and dream fast to get a big payoff.
AND! On a side note, I went with the headband and black tights for my holiday party dress. I decided the earrings and bracelet were the “nicer” look, but it was also the dressier look. The headband and tights made the dress a little less formal, which matched the tone of the event. I’m going to save the earrings, bracelet, hose, and gold shoes for a fancier party. Thank you all for your opinions and help!!!
