Banana Waffles

These Banana Waffles are filled with fresh bananas, cinnamon, and vanilla for a sweet and tasty breakfast or brunch. They are light, fluffy, and loaded with yummy banana flavor. This version includes directions to make them homemade from scratch or a waffle box mix.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together to dry ingredients, the flour, baking powder a cinnamon and salt.
In the same bowl add the wet ingredients, the milk, eggs, melted butter, the mashed banana and vanilla. Stir until mixed well.
Allow the batter to rest for 5 minutes.
While the batter is resting, heat your waffle iron.
Pour the batter into the waffle iron and cook according to the waffle iron instructions.
Top with fresh sliced banaans and serve with maple syrup.
Storage & Leftovers
Store in leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
Freezing
These Banana Waffles freeze well! To freeze them allow them to completely cool. Freeze them with parchment paper in between them to keep them from sticking. Store in plastic wrap or aluminum foil in an airtight container in the freezer for up to three months.
To reheat the waffles, put them directly from the freezer to the toaster oven or oven and heat until warm.
