This Crock Pot Peach Cobbler with Cake Mix is the most delicious summer dessert you can make with no fuss. This entire recipe is only 5 ingredients with only 5 minutes of prep work. It's so delicious that no one will realize your shortcut! My version comes with directions to make it with fresh peaches, canned peaches, or frozen peaches, so you can make it in any season.
In a medium bowl toss together the fresh sliced peaches, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
Put the fresh sliced peaches in the crock pot.
Sprinkle the peach mixture with the dry cake mix. Top the cake mix with the pats of butter. Do not mix or stir.
Cook on high for 22/12-3 hours depening on your crock pot. It will be done with the cake mix is cooked.
Serve warm with fresh vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Make it with Canned Peaches:To make with canned peaches, substitute 3 cans of 15-ounce peaches in 100% juice. Drain two of the cans and use only the juice from the third can. Put the peaches in the bottom of the slow cooker and sprinkle with the cinnamon. You will not need to add brown sugar because canned peaches are already sweeter, but you can if you want an extra sweet finished product.Make it with Frozen Peaches:You can also easily make this with frozen peaches. Just swap out the frozen peaches for fresh. The will thaw and cook in the slow cooker in the same amount of time, no need to pre-thaw them. Add both the brown sugar and cinnamon.Note on Using Fresh Peaches:The sweetness of peaches can vary. If you have peek, super sweet in-season peaches, you can reduce the amount of brown sugar to 2 or 3 tablespoons.
Storage & LeftoversI recommend making the cobbler and enjoying it right away. This is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store a leftover in an airtight container in the fridge for up to five days. Reheat in the crockpot peach cobbler in the microwave by warming in 30-second increments until warm.FreezingI would not freeze this Crock Pot Peach Cobbler with a cake mix because it would taw out soggy.
